Ron Whittington is the author of the Parker Glynn thrillers—fast‑paced, high‑stakes stories featuring a businessman‑turned‑spy navigating global danger and political intrigue. His latest novel, In Disguise of the Storm, won the 2025 Royal Palms Award for Thriller Writing.
The series began with Second Strike (2010), followed by Doppelgänged, Free Surface Effect, and now Storm. Ron has also written two exclusive Glynn short stories—The Devil You Don’t and Seized Desires—available only on this site.
In a departure from thriller writing, Ron signed on with The History Press to publish Hidden Jacksonville in July 2026: a nonfiction collection of stories about interesting people, places and historical events in Northeast Florida.
Prior to becoming a novelist, Ron worked as a journalist, ghostwriter, and communications strategist, contributing to publications such as Texas Monthly, Texas Business, and The Florida Times‑Union, and ghostwriting two national bestsellers. His real‑world experience—from crisis communications to FEMA deployments—adds authenticity and tension to his thrillers.
Ron lives in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, where he continues his public relations work.
